Bell wins Xfinity at Bristol

Christopher Bell – Driver of the No. 20 Gibb’s Toyota, Dashed for Cash,  winning the  37th Annual Alsco 300 and collects $100,000  bonus.  

Bristol Motor Speedway – April 6, 2019 – Anthony Holbrook – Bluegrass Sports Nation

Pole Sitter Cole Cluster – Driver of the No. 00 Haas Ford brought the field to green for the Xfinity Alsco 300.  Justin Allgaier Driver of the No. 7 Chevrolet and Tyler Reddick Driver of the No. 2 Chevrolet dialed in their Chevys and became challengers for the lead. Both maneuvering through traffic, passing Pole Sitter- Cluster and controlled Stage 1.  Stage 1 had a combination of 2 lead changes of 3 Drivers. (No. 2 Reddick, No. 00 Custer, No. 7 Allgaier)

Stage 2 continued to prove that the Chevrolets would be a force to recon with as they dominate Stage 2.

Leading the Bowtie Charge in Stage 2 was the Driver of the No. 7 Chevy- Justin Allgaier and No. 2 Chevy Tyler Reddick.

Similar to Stage 1 only 4 lead Changes circulated from 3 Leaders. (No. 7 Allgaier No. 2 Reddick and No. 00 Custer).  Stage 2 was slowed down by 3 Caution flags.

With a bullseye on Allgaier No. 7 Chevrolet, it would evident that other drivers would contend for the win.  With 100 laps remaining, Allgaier engine was damaged, attempting to hold off competitors.  This was relevant as Allgaier began to slow and finally removing his Chevy from contention to win.  Only twenty laps of completion, Christopher Bell maneuvered his No. 20 Gibbs Toyota around Brandon Jones Driver of the No. 19 Toyota for the Victory.

Christopher Bell’s Alsco 300 win at Bristol Motor Speedway is his 10th NASCAR Xfinity Career victory.

Besides collecting the Alsco 300 Trophy, Christopher Bell additionally collected $100,000, as he was One of Four qualifiers, battling to win the Dash 4 Cash Bonus.
