Bowman Gets Saturday Pocono Win

Sometimes “Lucky is Better than Good”  as Alex Bowman Steals the Show at the Tricky Triangle capitalizing upon race  leader Kyle Larson’s flat tire on final lap.

Long Pond, PA.  – June 26, 2021 – ANTHONY HOLBROOK
The NASCAR Cup Series traveled to Pocono’s 2.5 mile Raceway, Saturday, June 26, 2021 for the Pocono Organics CBD 325.  Today’s NASCAR Cup race was the first of a NASCAR Cup Double Hitter at the famed facility and will conclude after the running of the Explore the Pocono Mountains 350

Pocono Organics CBD 325 recap:

Kyle Larson attempted multiple laps to pass Alex Bowman and place himself in position to extend his win-streak to four consecutive NASCAR Cup point’s races at this weekend’s’ doubleheader at Pocono Raceway.  Setting this mark would match the first driver since former Hendrick’s driver Jimmie Johnson to accomplish this achievement.

Slicing and dicing Larson would regain the post after maneuvering around Hendrick Motorsports teammate Alex Bowman with only four circuits remaining Saturday.

To Kyle Larson dismay, a vibration encountered out of the tunnel turn 2, resulting with a front tire exploding.  Lack of steering bolted Larson’s No. 5 Chevrolet into the Turn 3 outside safer barrier wall, handing Alex Bowman clear passage for his third victory of the 2021 season.

Alex Bowman’s victory pushed Hendrick Motorsports’ Cup Series win streak to six consecutive races. Hendrick has nine wins overall this season and tied its team record for consecutive wins set in 2007.  Hendrick is credited as the winningest organization in NASCAR history.
