Chase Is King of the Road (America)

Reigning NASCAR Cup Series Champion Chase Elliott collects his second win of the season Sunday at Road America.

ELKHART LAKE, Wis. – July 4, 2021 – ANTHONY HOLBROOK
The NASCAR Cup Series traveled to the Badger State  Sunday featuring one of the seven road course events scheduled within the 2021 NASCAR Cup season. July 05, 2021 for the Jockey Made in America 250 Presented by Kwik Trip at Road America. 
Road America which opened in 1955, is located on 640 acres about halfway between Milwaukee and Green Bay.
The 4.084-mile course features 14 turns in which challenges drivers skill. This Event embarked the first time since 1956’s that NASCAR Cup Series showcased their exclusive series to this challenging course.
William Byron brought the field to green laying down a qualifying mark set at 110.359 mph.

Road King Chase Elliott recorded his sixth win in the last eight Cup road races and his seventh in the last 11, Sunday at Road America’s road course facilities.

The reigning NASCAR Cup champion gained the lead from  Kyle Busch on Lap 46 of 62 as Bush fades away over the final 16 laps to claim a 5.7-second victory over Christopher Bell. Bell’s runner-up is his best result since winning in February at the Daytona road course,

Kyle Busch followed his Xfinity Series win on Saturday with a third-place finish on Sunday’s Cup event.

Hendricks Motorsports now has a combined 10 wins with Kyle Larson leads that pack with four victories this 2021 season. 

Chase Brisco finished sixth to claim the second top 10 finish, leading his campaign for NASCAR Cup Series Rookie of the Year Award.
