Lady Tigers Fall Short at Prestonsburg

On Wednesday night, the Jackson City Lady Tigers played at Prestonsburg. The Lady Blackcats had 10 players score, and ended up getting the victory 66-48.

In the First Quarter:

Junior guard BreAnna Tincher tallied nine points for the Lady Tigers. For Prestonsburg, sophomores Maggie Nelson and Celina Mullins combined to score 15 points. The Lady Blackcats led 22-11 after the opening quarter of play.

In the Second Quarter:

Prestonsburg junior forward Faith Lazar led all scorers with eight points. For Jackson City, junior guard Riley Turner made two 3-pointers, while Tincher scored seven points. At halftime, the score was 37-24.

In the Third Quarter:

Nelson, Lazar, Mullins, and senior guard Kylie Stephens all scored for the Lady Blackcats. Tincher and Turner both scored for the Lady Tigers. Going into the fourth quarter, Prestonsburg led 46-31.

In the Fourth Quarter:

Turner, Tincher, and freshman guard Emily Pelfrey all scored for Jackson City, while the Lady Blackcats made three 3-pointers. The final score was 66-48.
