Powell County’s Sierra Dawson Headed to Alice Lloyd

Powell County’s Sierra Dawson recently signed with Alice Lloyd College to further her athletic and academic career. Dawson, a 14th region standout, was a member of the 2019 14th Region Volleyball All-Tournament team.

Last season, Ken Jones’ team posted a 26-9 overall record with a 14-4 record in the 14th region and a perfect 9-0 record in the 56th District. Powell County made it to the regional championship game with Dawson playing a notable role in the team’s success. Dawson led the Lady Pirates in kills (293) and service aces (103) last season.

As for Alice Lloyd, the Lady Eagles posted a 13-11 record last season and return 11 of their 15 players which includes talented young players like Jasmin Hamilton, Callie Richardson, AJ Riley, etc.
