Alice Lloyd continues to mine the athletic talent here in the Mountains as Coach Nathan Hall has landed the ultra-talented Breathitt duo of Adreonna Schutz and Emalee Watts for his Eagle program.

The pair have been stalwarts for the VolleyCats, and in the 55th District and 14th Region, over their careers and have brought the hardware to the Breathitt trophy case winning both the 2019 and 2021 55th District Championships and the 14th Region Championship in 2019. The VolleyCats were 82 – 36 during their careers for a winning percentage of 69.49%.

Schutz was named the 2021 KVCA 14th Region Player of the Year and 2nd Team All-State while setting a new single season school kills record with 362, and broke the career record at Breathitt with 1,124 from 2108-2021.

Watts was the 2020 KVCA 14th Region Player of the Year and 2021 We Elite 14th Region Player of the Year and owns all the assists top marks at Breathitt being tops for a single match (39 versus Letcher Central), season (647 this season) and career (1,608) from 2018-2021.
