UK defeated Bellarmine 99-85 on Tuesday in the Cats’ final game before SEC play begins. Jaland Lowe did not play due to injury precaution, while Jayden Quaintance played just eight minutes.

Following the game, head coach Mark Pope and the Wildcats held a surprise autograph session for the fans who stayed in Rupp Arena for the postgame show. It was a cool moment, which the fans enjoyed.

10 Facts to Know from Tuesday’s Game:

  • UK leads the series 2-0. Kentucky won the first matchup 60-41 on Nov. 29, 2022.
  • It marked the first time that the Cats shot at least 65% on two-pointers and 53% on 3-pointers since Feb. 24, 2024 vs. Alabama.
  • Kentucky shot 58.9% from the floor, which marked the fifth time this season that UK has made at least 50%.
  • The Cats made a season-high 16 3-pointers. It is only one shy of the high of 17 3’s under Pope, which was set against Jackson State last season.
  • UK is now 6-0 this season and 19-3 under Pope overall when making at least 10 3-pointers.
  • Five Wildcats scored in double digits, which marked the sixth time that has occurred this season; UK won each of those games.
  • Kentucky registered 24 assists in the matchup, which makes UK 7-0 this season when tallying at least 15.
  • UK won despite allowing 52% shooting the floor, which marks the third time under Pope that the Cats won when the opponent made at least 50% from the floor.
  • Kam William’s eight 3-pointers in the matchup are the most by a Wildcat since Immanuel Quickley at Texas A&M in 2020. Williams’ 80% 3-point percentage tied UK’s single-game record minimum 10 attempts as Jamal Murray also went 8-of-10 on Feb. 6, 2016, vs. Florida.
  • Otega Oweh has now scored at least 10 points in all 13 games this season. Dating back to last season, the streak is at 16 games. He was two rebounds shy of a triple-double on Tuesday.

The Cats are now 9-4 on the season, while Bellarmine is 5-7. Up next for UK is a road game against No. 14 Alabama on Saturday, Jan. 3, at 12:00 p.m.
