Wildcats play 16 games at home this season
LEXINGTON, Ky. – The 2020 Kentucky Softball promotional schedule was unveiled on Wednesday, highlighting the promotions and giveaways for the 2020 home softball season, which begins at John Cropp Stadium the first weekend in March.
Each Southeastern Conference series weekend will have a theme for this season, beginning March 7-9 with Youth Weekend. The entire series with Texas A&M will have youth-themed promotions for the future stars of Big Blue Nation. Cancer Awareness Weekend will be against two-time national champions Florida on March 20-22 with each day highlighting awareness for the prevention of certain cancers. The SEC will be honoring Ovarian cancer on Saturday, March 21st across all softball games in memoriam of Alex Wilcox, who passed away last season and was a member of the Mississippi State Bulldogs.
March 27-29 will be Hero’s Weekend where UK Softball will honor heroes in the Lexington community and Senior Weekend will be against Arkansas on April 24-26.
There are four reoccurring promotions for the season, including Wildcat Wednesdays, Friday Family Nights, Saturday poster and autographs and Sunday Funday with inflatables and face painting.
April 29, the Wildcats will open the stadium to dogs for its annual Bark in the Park game where Big Blue Nation will be allowed to bring their well-behaved dogs to the game. That game is at 7 p.m. ET and will be shown live on the SEC Network.
Additionally, season ticket holders for the 2020 season will be receiving a UK Softball fleece blanket.
