BBN Leaves Indy after Shocking Loss to St. Peters

St Patrick’s day started out with Kentucky fan’s headed to Indianapolis to watch there Wildcats play and maybe take in some green beverages, but the day ended with a stunned, saddened and mad BBN with the CATS by St. Peter’s Peacocks.

The score was back and forth the first half, with Kentucky heading to the break tied at 37 all with the Peacocks. Kentucky showed in their play nerves were all over the place the highlight of the first half was a Jacob Toppin dunk. Oscar Tsheibwe lead the Cats into halftime with 12 points and 6 rebounds. Peacocks were lead by Daryl Banks with 16 points. He also was 4 for 4 from behind that Arc.

Kentucky came out in the second half and took a four point lead early. BBN let Indianapolis at this point know there in town on Pennsylvania Street, but the Peacocks would come back on the CATS to tie it up. The second half was virtually a carbon copy to the first half. The score was close the whole game. Kentucky had eight point lead around the three minute mark, but the CATS’ defense just couldn’t stop the back door cuts and the open threes.

Kentucky shot poorly from the free throw line hitting 23 of 35. At the end of regulation the game was tied at 71.


In the Overtime period, the CATS took a six point lead, only have the Peacocks Peacocks come back and tied the game and then take the lead on an Edert three pointer. Down the stretch Sahvir Wheeler missed two free throws, then Oscar Tsheibwe missed two free throws. The Peacocks never gave up the lead in overtime once they took it, and then scored the upset 86 to 79.

During press conference Coach Cal kept saying “If we have eight point lead with three minutes we got to figure away to win the ballgame.” He also stated that he told the player’s if your not going to shoot I’m taking you out.
