BBN Storms the Field as CATS Take Down No. 10 LSU 35-34 in OT

LEXINGTON – October 10, 2026 – Bradley Charles

What a night at Kroger Field. With the Power K in full force, Kentucky defeated No. 10 LSU 35-34 in OT. Big Blue Nation stormed the field to cap off what was an insane atmosphere throughout the night.

There’s so much excitement in the air right now for BBN. Will Stein appears to be the real deal. When he was hired, you knew the high-end potential was certainly there. Well, that potential has come to fruition. The future is super bright for Kentucky football.

For UK to defeat a top-tier team like LSU, it likely requires a couple explosive plays and some aggressive decisions to go your way. Well, both of those things happened tonight.

Kentucky’s first offensive play was a 77-yard run by CJ Baxter, which led to a Baxter touchdown on the ensuing play. In addition to that, a massive play occurred when Brock Coffman registered a 55-yard punt return TD to give UK a 14-10 lead with 13:06 to play in the first half.

As for the aggressive decisions, as he’s shown us in the past; Will Stein didn’t back down from the gutsy choices. He decided to go for a TD with 0:03 seconds remaining before halftime on 4th down at LSU’s one-yard line; a decision that was ultimately successful.

Just as he did last week in Kentucky’s 35-34 OT win at South Carolina, Stein decided to go for the win in OT with a two-point conversion. Just like last week, it resulted in a Wildcat victory. What a night for BBN. The future looks very bright.

The Cats are now 5-1 (3-1 SEC,) while LSU is 4-2 (1-2 SEC.) Up next for UK is a matchup at Oklahoma on Saturday, Oct. 17, at 7:30 p.m.
