Big 2nd Half Propels Hazard Past Buckhorn

Bulldogs get 2nd 54th District win of week 76 – 50

The pregame news of the night was that Bulldog Senior Forward Reece Fletcher was in street closes to rest some bangs prior to the All A State Tournament next week.

Once the ball was tipped, Kobe Bowling lit up venerable Memorial Gym from long range. Bowling nailed four bombs in the 1st Quarter and had 16 of his game-high 24 in the frame. Buckhron lead 20-15 at the end of the Quarter.

The Bulldogs turned up the defensive pressure in the 2nd quarter with Tyson Turner. Turner put up 5 points in addition to his energy and hustle. Logan Hall had 6 in the quarter as Hazard pulled ahead to lead at the half 31-29.

Hazard came out in the 3rd quarter and blitzed the Wildcats 26-6. Jacob Johnson lead the charge with 10 from outside and Hall had 8 of his team-high 21 in the paint. Hazard led 57-35.

Hazard closed out the game 19-15 in the 4th to outscore the Wildcats 45 to 21 in the half.
