JACKSON – August 18, 2022 – Brendon D. Miller
The Breathitt County Bobcats open the 2022 Season on Friday Night as the Bobcats host Magoffin County at Mike Holcomb Athletic Complex! The Bobcats will rise from the utter destruction caused by the record flooding of the North Fork of the Kentucky River on July 26th and 27th in Eastern Kentucky. The Breathitt Football facilities were heavily damaged and thanks to the generosity of many and the hard work and dedication of the community, the Bobcats will be able to open the season on time and at home!!

As Breathitt Head Coach Kyle Moore said earlier in the week, “Our community needs this.” Bobcat football is a great source of pride for our County and the Friday Night Lights will hopefully bring a little normalcy back to the community.
We hope to see a packed RiverBank, and BSN will bring you all the action LIVE on the Bluegrass Sports Nation Facebook Page and BSN YouTube Channel. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 PM. Kentucky Sports Radio has designated our game as their game of the week, and they will be sharing our stream!
Our broadcast crew of Rob Hounshell and Eric Collins be on the mic and we expect for University of Kentucky Quarterback and KSR Reporter Freddie Maggard to stop in on the stream! Ty Back will have the production, and as usual, I will document the night through pics and will have a gallery on BSN And share with KSR and other media outlets.
