The Commodores had a 14-3 lead after the first quarter, but the Cats responded with a strong second quarter to take a 24-14 lead into halftime. Kentucky’s momentum carried through to the second half and the Cats were able to get the victory 38-14.
Kentucky held the Commodores to 131 total yards in the first three quarters.
The Cats rushed for 401 yards and four touchdowns on 57 carries.
Kentucky is now 27-6 under Mark Stoops when leading at halftime
Both Chris Rodriguez and Lynn Bowden Jr. rushed for over 110 yards. Kavosiey Smoke rushed for 95 yards. The trio combined for four rushing touchdowns.
Kentucky had seven plays that went for 20 or more yards compared to just two such plays for Vanderbilt.
