The Cats began the game with a 15-4 run and held a 45-26 lead at halftime. In the second half, UK went 16-of-28 from the field and cruised to an 81-45 victory. Starting at the 11:41 mark in the first half, Kentucky owned a double-digit lead for the remainder of the game.

While UK shined offensively with 81 points, Kentucky also played well on defense. The Cats tallied six blocks, eight steals, and scored 20 points off 20 Morehead State turnovers.

Brandon Boston Jr., a 6-foot-7 freshman guard, led all scorers with 15 points. Boston was one of seven Wildcats that scored at least eight points.

UK, currently ranked 10th in the Associated Press Top 25 poll, is 20-2 against in-state programs during the John Calipari era.
