Briscoe get Playoff Win

The NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs opened Sunday, August 31, 2025, for the Cook Out Southern 500 the 1.366-mile of Darlington Raceway is set to host the playoff opener traditionally known as the Southern 500.

Stage 1
Josh Berry’s qualifying efforts begins to bottom out after Stage 1 flag is waved green. Berry’s attempt to correct issue will be the center of conflict on the opening lap. Tyler Reddick, Kyle Bush and surrounding drivers will fall victim of Josh Berry’s accident. Chase Briscoe controls the pace as Berry’s accident unveiled in his rear-view mirror.
Teammate Bubba Wallace and Denny Hamlin additional attempt to real in Briscoe lead. Both drivers will come up short as Chase Briscoe separates himself from assailants as Stage 1 ends.
Chase Briscoe wins Stage 1 at Darlington comfortably reminding the competition of his potential.

A decisive caution flag on Lap 203 sends Cody Ware behind the pit wall after cutting a tire.
Chase Briscoe stint at the front endures a final caution as Cup Champ Ryan Blaney spins in the closing finale.
After Caution reseated, Chase Briscoe dials in Tyler Reddick to complete a final obstacle on his way to entertain Stage 2 honors.
