Dynamic record-setting performance by Charles Andrew Collins against Pike Central.
JACKSON – November 1, 2019 – Brendon D. Miller
Charles Andrew Collins has been nothing short of spectacular this season in Bobcat Blue. Friday Night, Collins made sure that his name will likely be in the record books at the storied Bobcat program for years to come, if not infinity.
In the Bobcats 56-22 regular season ending win, Collins crossed the goal line not once, not twice, not three times, not four times, not five times, not the incoming school record six times, but the lucky number 7. 42 points. Collins did not stop there as he threw for the final two point conversion of the game to be involved in 44 of the Bobcat’s 56 points.
Collins finished the night with 281 yards on the ground on 15 totes and six scores and a catch for 24 yards and one TD. The former record of six touchdowns was held by Bobcat greats James Fletcher Collins (Charles Andrew’s brother) and Channing Fugate. Making the night ever more special was that the three older Collins brothers, Will Thomas, Jon Keith, and James Fletcher were in attendance for Senior Night.
