Working Together in Tough Times!

Breathitt County softball and baseball teams help Jackson City clean up fields.

JACKSON – March 5, 2021 – Brendon D. Miller

When times are tough, good people show their true colors. That is abundantly evident in Jackson and Breathitt County right now as the entire community works together to recover from the devastating results of the 2021 flood!

On Friday, there was an great example of this from our young people, as both the Breathitt County softball and baseball teams assisted the Jackson City softball and baseball teams in beginning the cleanup of their home fields at Kiawanis and Douthitt Parks. Both parks have been heavily damaged by the flooding.

I was able to catch up with the coaches of all the teams on Friday!

Breathitt County Softball Coach Mike Taulbee and Jackson Softball Coach Tony Turner.
