Green Era at Jackson City Off to Winning Start

Tincher pours in 38 in opener as Lady Tigers defeat June Buchanan

Paul Green began his coaching tenure on Monday Night as Coach of the Lady Tigers with a 65-47 win over June Buchanan. Green, who also is the Superintendent of the Jackson Independent School District, stepped into the position this year.

The Lady Tigers were lead by All 55th-District Sophomore BreAnna Tincher who tallied 38 in the game. Tincher had 12 in the 1st Quarter, 14 in the 2nd, 10 in the 3rd, and two in the forth. Tincher was 12 of 17 from the line.

Sophomore Point Guard Riley Turner added 14 for the Lady Tigers.

Also scoring for JCS were Faith Moore with 5, Ryleigh Noble and Kaylee Taulbee with 3 each, and Kenzie Taulbee with 2.

June Buchanan had four players score: Riley Likens 19, Jorden Tackett 16, Haley Likens 10, and Izabella Taylor 2.

Jackson is back in action as they host Buckhorn on Friday Night at J.B. Goff Gymnasium.
