BreAnna Tincher with 27 to pace Lady Tigers to 67-55 win

Jackson left the Woods Coliseum victorious on Wednesday Night getting their 2nd 55th District victory of the year, and only their 2nd win over cross-town rival, Breathitt in history.
Jackson jumped out to a 13-5 lead in the 1st quarter on the strength of nine points from Sophomore Breanna Tincher. The Lady Cats only managed five points in the Quarter to trail by eight.
Tincher added seven in the 2nd Quarter and Riley Turner had six to make the score 28 to 19 at the half.
Breathitt attempted to get back in the game in the 3rd Quarter as the Lady Cats out scored the Lady Tigers 18-17 in the frame. Riley Bush had seven and Lexie Francis and Maddie Haddix each had five. Senior Faith Moore led the Lady Tigers with eight in the Quarter.
Jackson maintained their lead in the 4th as Gracie Fraley had six and Tincher closed out the game with two and 1’s for six points.
Jackson City shot 19 of 35 from the line for 54%.
Breathitt shot 12 of 28 from the line for 42.8%
Jackson City is now 2-3 in 55th District play, while Breathitt is 1-2.
