On Thursday night, the Perry Central Lady Commodores hosted the Leslie County Lady Eagles. The score was tied 31-31 at halftime, but Perry Central ended up winning the game 75-64.
The Lady Commodores tallied 51 rebounds, 13 assists, and 10 steals. The team’s leading scorer was eighth-grader Kyra McAlarnis who had 19 points to go along with 10 rebounds. Senior Rani Mcintyre recorded a 15-point, 11-rebound double-double.
For Leslie County, the Lady Eagles made nine 3-pointers, had eight offensive rebounds, 15 assists, and totaled 10 steals. Sophomore center Emma Napier led all scorers with 20 points on 9-of-12 shooting from the floor. Sophomore guard Iris Napier made three 3-pointers and scored 16 points. Sophomore guard Courtney Hoskins tallied four 3’s and accounted for 15 points.
