On Friday night, the Jackson City Lady Tigers defeated the June Buchanan Lady Crusaders 73-36. Jackson City is now 2-1 on the season; the Lady Crusaders are 0-2.
In the First Quarter:
June Buchanan’s Kylie Tackett made two 3-pointers and finished the quarter with seven points. For the Lady Tigers, BreAnna Tincher and Riley Turner combined to score 14 points. At the end of the first quarter, Jackson City led 16-11.
In the Second Quarter:
Sophomore Adeline Turner hit two 3’s for the Lady Tigers, while Riley Turner scored eight points and Tincher scored 12 points. For the Lady Crusaders, sophomore Riley Likens scored six of the team’s nine points. Going into the third quarter, Coach Paul Green’s team led 42-20.
In the Third Quarter:
Likens tallied eight points for June Buchanan. For Jackson City, Tincher, Riley Turner, Adeline Turner, Brianna Kayatin, and Ryleigh Noble all scored. With one quarter left to play, the score was 61-34.
In the Fourth Quarter:
Kayatin, Tincher, and Riley Turner all scored for the Lady Tigers, while Likens scored for the Lady Crusaders. The final score was 73-36 in favor of Jackson City.
