December 30, 2020 – Brendon D. Miller
Twitter site @KYHighFootball has named West Carter’s Leetavious Cline as their Kentucky High School Football Player of the Year!
Cline led the Commonwealth in rushing yards with 2,115 to go along with 31 TDs and 208 points in 2020. Leetavious was the only 2,000-yard rusher in this COVID-19 shortened season and helped the Comets to both the Class 2A District 8 and Regional Championships (school’s first). He was spectacular in the State Semi-final against eventual state champion Beechwood with 200 yards on 36 carries and two touchdowns in a classic game which I had the privilege to shoot for KSR and BSN.
For his career in Olive Hill, Cline totalled 3,986 rushing yards (school record) along with 56 rushing TDs, 980 receiving yards and 13 TD catches and 209 tackles as a defender over his four-year varsity career.
Congratulations to Leetavious!!!!
