The Legends opened the scoring in the bottom of the first inning when Khalil Lee tripled and scored on a ground out by Emmanuel Rivera.
Sensley tied the game with a leadoff homer in the top of the second, and the RiverDogs took charge with five runs in the third. Pablo Olivares led off with a home run. With one out, Diego Castillo singled and moved to third on a double by Dalton Blaser. Isiah Gilliam’s single scored Castillo and sent Blaser to third. Gilliam continued to second on an error by second baseman Gabriel Cancel, and Sensley followed with a three-run homer to right field, giving Charleston a 6-1 lead.
After the RiverDogs added a run in the top of the sixth, Lee hit his team-leading 14th home run of the season in the bottom of the sixth, leaving the score at 7-2.
The Legends scored a final run in the bottom of the seventh when Vance Vizcaino doubled, moved to third after a fly ball by Manny Olloque, and scored on a sacrifice fly by Nick Hutchins.
Hobie Harris (1-0) got the win in relief. He replaced starter Alexander Vargas in the second inning after Vargas was hit in the leg by a line drive. Harris pitched two scoreless innings. Braden Bristo pitched the seventh, eighth and ninth to earn his first save.
Legends starter Anthony Bender (4-5) took the loss.
Charleston has won the first two games of the four-game series, which continues Saturday. First pitch is set for 6:35 p.m.
