The Owls and Bobcats met on Friday Night in Beattyville each looking for their first Distrct win. Owsley rode the strength of their scoring trimverate of Andrew Noe, Trenton Combs, and Jocob McCoy to overcome a huge effort by Zach Watterson.
1st QUARTER
Zach Watterson opened the first period with seven of the ten for the Bobcats. Jacob McCoy had two baskets and Trenton Combs hit a 3-pointer for the Owls. Owsley led 11-10 at the end of the quarter.
2nd QUARTER
Lee put on an offensive surge in the 2nd putting up 23 points durin ghte eight minutes. Watterson added 11 to what would be his game-high 32. Andrew Noe had six and Combs added six for the Owls. At the half, Lee had a seven point lead 33-26.
3rd QUARTER
Owsley came out with purpose in the third behind seven both from McCoy and Noe and six from Combs. Watterson added six to his total. Headed to the fourth, Owsley was on top 45-43.
4th QUARTER
The fourth was a shootout. Watterson scored eight and Kaleb Slone had six. Noe led the way to the win with nine in the quarter with Combs scoring five and McCoy 4.
