Tyler Reddick Tames the Lady in Black
DARLINGTON – March 22, 2026 – Anthony Holbrook
The NASCAR Cup Series 6th point’s race of the season “Throw Backed” to Darlington County for the annual Goodyear 400 race hosted by the Darlington Speedway.
Darlington Raceway is classified as a 1.33-mile oval track with the Ends of very different shape and structure. A local landowner refused to relocate a minnow pond resulted to the track’s distinctive egg-shaped design. Race Teams have a challenge to set up their cars’ handling in a way that will be operative at both diverse ends for 293 scheduled laps.
Tyler Reddick and Bubba Wallace set the field for green.
Goodyear 400 – Stage 1 Recap:
Tyler Reddick backs up his stellar qualifying performance leading the field into the first green flag pit stop. Alternator failure will be an obstacle that must be attended to if Tyler has any chance to be a factor in race. Injured Brad Keselowiski benefits from Tyler’s extended stay in the Pits and rotated to lead the field. Brad Keselowski wards off any approaching danger collecting Stage 1 honors.

Brad Keselowski lengthy Stage 2 pit service relinquishes his advantage over his competitors. Within 20 Laps Brad’s hotrod will be battling Kyle Larson for the sought after position. Keselowski reclaims the lead as challengers follow in his tire tracks.
Chris Buescher applies pressure to his RFK teammate in the final laps. Brad will keep an aggressive Buescher “Locked In” his rear-view mirror.

Goodyear 400 – Final Stage Recap:
Riley Herbst introduction to the safer barrier wall will slow the pace down and open the pits for takers on Lap 286 of 293. Race leader Brad Keselowski and majority of the field attend pit for a final dash to the checkers. Multiply race teams including Buescher opt to stay out. Buescher will be rewarded top spot on the Scouring Pylon.
Miscommunication finds Chris Buescher into the pit wall with the assistance of Tyler Reddick’s bumper. The damage minimal as patience becomes minimal.
A planned Pit Service allows Tyler’s Toyota to reclaim status at the front on Lap 272.
