The 7/8-mile Iowa Speedway is prepared to Host History by running the Inaugural NASCAR Cup Series Race. The event sold out within a short time frame after race declaration.
Kyle Larson won the Inaugural pole position turning a lap time at 23.084 seconds. Riding shotgun will be Ryan Blaney, in addition to 80 personal fans including Blaney’s Iowan Born Mother in attendance at the hometown track.

An AJ Allemndinger sliced tire invites a caution flag and a final pit prep for a 18 lap Stage shootout. Ryan Blaney pivots back to the front as Larson contest his lead with laps closing. The pole position duo will interchange the top position with Ryan Blaney ultimately taking charge with 10 laps remaining. Blaney wins the inaugural Stage at Iowa.

Stage 2 winner Kyle Larson will receive a Chrome Bumper-Horn courtesy of Daniel Suarez as the final Stage restart green flag hoovers. Kyle Larson will endure most of the damage and attend an unscheduled pit appointment.
Josh Berry and Chris Buescher compete for the post as both drivers exchange the sought after position. Chris Buescher’s caution will slow down the pace, relinquishing the lead as tire struggles, force pit attention on Lap 260.
Complications continue for Kyle Bush as tire obstacles haunt the handling of his Camaro, establishing a Final Caution flag. Bush’s optimism of a profitable finish interrupted and limps behind the wall.
