Ultimately, it was a disappointing night for BBN as UK fell short 73-68 to Missouri at Rupp Arena. Kentucky led 66-58 with 4:37 remaining in the second half.
Otega Oweh finished the game with a team-leading 20 points off 6-of-11 shooting from the floor, while going 7-of-18 from 3-point range. He registered an incredible three-quarter-court shot as the buzzer sounded at the end of the first half.
No other Wildcat scored in double figures, but there were six that scored between six and nine points. Jaland Lowe accounted for nine points off 2-of-11 shooting from the floor. Malachi Moreno tallied nine points off an efficient 3-of-4 FG shooting.
UK did register an 11-0 run in the game. Kentucky was 22-of-51 from the floor, 7-of-18 from 3-PT range, and 17-of-24 from the free-throw line.
The Cats are now 9-6 (0-2 SEC) this season, while Missouri is 12-3 (2-0 SEC.) Up next for UK is a home game against Mississippi State on Saturday, Jan. 10, at 8:30 p.m.
