What a time it is to be a Kentucky football fan. Despite not playing its best, No. 15 UK won 21-13 at Oklahoma on Saturday night sending BBN to cloud nine once again.
It feels like Kentucky football has officially arrived, and will be a force to be reckoned with for the foreseeable future. That thought only gets deepened in the minds’ of BBN with each victory.
The job Will Stein has done in just his first season is absolutely incredible, and the exciting part is that it feels as though things are just getting started. What we’ve seen thus far isn’t a fluke, but it is just the beginning.
Stein is the first UK head coach to be 6-1 in his first season since Alpha Brumage in 1913. Stein is also the first coach in school history to begin 4-1 in SEC play since the league started playing football in 1933.
UK advanced to 6-1 (4-1 SEC,) while Oklahoma fell to 3-3 (1-2 SEC.) Up next for the Cats is a home game against Vanderbilt on Saturday, Oct. 24, at 7:30 p.m. on the SEC Network.
