Wolfe County and Knott staged a good one tonight in the 14th Region Championship Game at J.B. Gymnasium. Wolfe County came away with a hard-fought 3-0 win (25-21, 25-23, 25-20) for the Title.
Knott Central played great and the match was much closer than the score indicated. Kudos to Coach Beth Justice and the Patriots on a great season and a great run to the Regional Final!
The Wolves now advance to the Semi-State on Monday Night to take on the winner of Notre Dame – Ryle which will be held Thursday Night. That game will be held at Rose Gymnasium beginning at 7:00 PM.
Hailey Stone was named Tournament Outstanding Player, and Elizabeth Stokes, Ginger Johnson, and Averie Brownell were All-Tournament Team members from Wolfe.
