Bobcats take on Jenkins at Noon Saturday.
JACKSON – October 8, 2019
It’s playoff time in the Mountains, not for the High Schoolers yet, but for the Middle School!! For the first time, Breathitt will participate in the Kentucky Middle School Football Association (KYMSFA) playoffs.
The Bobcats finished the regular season at 7-2 with a stunning 4th Quarter comeback at Leslie County last Thursday Night. The win was their sixth in a row after suffering losses to Belfry and Middlesboro in games two and three of the season. Belfry and Middlesboro are both regional top seeds in the playoff.
Breathitt has been placed in Division 3, Region 4, which also includes Jenkins, Belfry, Pikeville and Shelby Valley.
Breathitt is the 4 seed in the Region and will face 5th seeded Jenkins this Saturday at Noon at Mike Holcomb Athletic Complex. The two teams met on August 17th with Breathitt winning 32-0.
If Breathitt were to advance they would face Belfry on October 19th.
