Breathitt Middle Bobcats Stay Hot, get Sixth Win in Prestonsburg

Junior Bobcats defeat Black Cats for 3rd Straight Road Win

PRESTONSBURG – September 17, 2019 – Brendon D. Miller – BSN

Coach Chis Hays took his Road Warrior Middle School Bobcats to Prestonsburg on Tuesday Night for their third road game in seven days. Last week the Bobcats shut out both Morgan County and Paintsville and aimed to continue their current four game win streak against the Black Cats.

The Bobcats did not disappoint the sizable crowd that traveled with them to the Burg as they jumped on the Black Cats early. Breathitt received the opening kickoff and drove for the opening score on a Caden Bowling run.

Breathitt would put 22 on the board before Prestonsburg was able to get a 1st down on their 4th possession. In the end, the Bobcats cruised to an 48-18 win.

Notable on the night was that Breathitt was able to convert two big PAT kicks by Isaac Turner. Last year Breathitt kicked some of the 1st PATs in the middle school’s history in games with Evan Miller doing the honors. Turner has taken over those duties and made his 1st of the season and went 2 for 4!! Turner is also kicking off very well!! Great Job Isaac, good to see!!
