JACKSON – December 8, 2020
The Fairce O. Woods Coliseum was damaged by fire on May 3, 2020. Thanks to the quick work of the Jackson Fire Department and supporting departments and first responders, the structure was saved, but with quite a bit of damage to the overall structure, playing floor and scoreboards.

Since the indicent in May, the administration of the Breathitt County Schools have worked hard to facilitate repairs and make needed renovations to the Coliseum and the new look will be revealed to the public today by Superintendent Phillip Watts and the Breathitt County Board of Education.
The new look is spectacular with a new playing floor, scoreboards and media facilities, and is now ready to host the Bobcats and Ladycats beginning in January! The Coliseum will also be the host of the 2021 14th Region Boys Tournament this year in March!
BSN will webcast the event LIVE today on the Bluegrass Sports Nation Facebook Page beginning at 4:30 PM.
Tune in and check it out!
BSN will post many pics of the facility after the reveal!
