Quentin Snider led U of L with 19 points and five assists. Snider hit three of his four attempts from beyond the arc.
Snider wasn’t the only Cardinal that starred today. Louisville has had few games where all five starters played up to the potential. Against Memphis they all contributed in a big way. V. J. King continues to show why he was so highly sought after coming out of high school. His aggressiveness on offense paved the way for his 17 points.
Deng Adel was fantastic from three point range. Adel hit five of his eight three pointers and finished with 15 points.
The front line of Anas Mahmoud and Ray Spalding has been a mixed bag this season. Sometimes one plays well, but the other one doesn’t. They showed today against Memphis why they are so dangerous for Louisville. Mahmoud only scored four points, but blocked seven Memphis shots. Spalding was aggressive all game finishing with 12 points and a game-high nine rebounds.
U of L’s next game will be Wednesday in the KFC Yum Center against Albany.
