The Bulldogs’ Wade Pelfrey tallied 27 points in Hazard’s victory over the Wolves.

On Monday night, the Hazard Bulldogs defeated the Wolfe County Wolves. The Wolves held multiple double-digit leads in the second quarter, but the third quarter propelled Hazard to victory.
In the First Quarter:
Wolfe County guards Jaz Johnson and Sawyer Thompson combined to score 14 points, while Chris Jones, Andrew Ford, and Jamal Hazell all scored for the Bulldogs. After the opening quarter, the Wolves led 17-6.
In the Second Quarter:
Senior guard Wade Pelfrey scored eight points for Hazard, while Johnson scored eight points for Wolfe County. Six players scored for the Bulldogs, and five players scored for the Wolves. At halftime, Wolfe County led 35-28.
In the Third Quarter:
Pelfrey and Hazell combined to score 13 points, while the Wolves only scored four points. Going into the fourth quarter, Hazard led 45-39.
In the Fourth Quarter:
Johnson scored 13 points for Wolfe County, but the Bulldogs countered with 12 points from Pelfrey. The Wolves had the possession and trailed by two points with just under two minutes remaining, but ultimately Hazard emerged victorious 66-58.
