It was a win that was desperately needed for BBN and the UK men’s basketball team. The Cats fell short in their first four high-profile matchups of the season. The first half seemed similar to the other outings, but a 40-21 second half propelled UK over the Hoosiers.

- The Cats lead the series 33-25, which includes an 11-3 record in games played in Lexington.
- Kentucky closed the game on a 30-11 run over the last 14 minutes of the game.
- UK limited Indiana to 60 points, which makes UK 15-0 under head coach Mark Pope when holding the opponent to 66 points or fewer. The Hoosiers scored 113 points in their previous game, which was against Penn State.
- Kentucky tallied a season-low four turnovers, while Indiana had 18. Kentucky registered a 23-6 advantage in points off turnovers.
- The Cats registered a season-high 13 steals, which led to Indiana recording 18 turnovers; the most by a Kentucky opponent this season.
- UK’s two leading scorers came off the bench on Saturday as the Cats won 42-13 in bench points. Mo Dioubate tallied 14 points, while Jaland Lowe recorded 13. UK outscored Indiana by 24 points when Lowe was on the court; and by 18 when Dioubate was on the floor.
- Kentucky’s 14 offensive rebounds led to an 18-6 advantage in second-chance points.
- Following a five-game absence due to injury, Dioubate collected 14 points and a season-high 12 rebounds. It marks his second double-double of the season and the eighth of his career. His seven offensive rebounds are the most by a Wildcat this season, while his five steals are the most since Reed Sheppard tallied five against LSU in 2024.
- Otega Oweh tallied 10 points, which continues his streak of scoring in double figures in all 11 games this season.
- Malachi Moreno registered a season-high-tying three assists, a season-best four steals, and two blocks.
The Cats are now 7-4, while Indiana is 8-3. Up next for UK is a matchup against St. John’s and Coach Rick Pitino. That matchup will be held in Atlanta, Ga., on Saturday, Dec. 20, at 12:30 p.m.
