BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Eastern Kentucky University placed 114 student-athletes on the Ohio Valley Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll for the 2016-17 academic year, the league office announced on Friday.
Sixteen EKU student-athletes appeared on the Honor Roll for two sports, bringing the total number of selections to 130.
The men’s golf team (8) and the women’s track and field team (21) had more Honor Roll selections than any other OVC team in those sports. The total women’s track and field team selections exceeded that of any other team from any other sport.
To earn Commissioner’s Honor Roll recognition, recipients must have achieved at least a 3.25 grade-point-average and have been eligible and on the team throughout the competitive season in their chosen NCAA-sponsored sport(s) and used a season of competition.
