High School Football Playoffs Underway

The 2017 High School Football Playoffs are underway and several teams hopes of a State title have already come to an end. The favorites have advanced as expected with Belfry, Corbin and Johnson Central all advancing.

Here is a look at what took place in the first round of each Class involving BSN teams:

Class 1A:

Paintsville 41 – Nicholas 21
Hazard 50 – Pineville 22

Class 2A:

Lexington Christian 48 – Leslie County 0
Prestonsburg 35 – Middlesboro 14

Class 3A:

Belfry 63 – Thomas Nelson 26
Bell 48 – Breathitt 8
Corbin 57 – Knott Central 6
Floyd Central 43 – Henry 35
Powell County 47 – Jackson County 14

Class 4A:

Johnson Central 43 – Mason 0

Class 5A:

Southwestern 56 – Perry Central 8
