William Byron wins Back to Back 500’s at Daytona, USA

Daytona, FL – February 15, 2025 – Anthony Holbrook

Stock Car’s fiercest gladiators harnessed into their chariots of horsepower to conquer Daytona’s 2.5-mile International Superspeedway in quest for the covenant Harley J. Earl Trophy.  Many ambitious drivers have attempted, only a few succeed.  

Chase Briscoe (49.249) and Austin Cindric (49.325) Wednesday’s qualifying lap, locks in the front row optimizing a single lap run for the Great American Race.

Thursday’s first Duel Race Checker Flag would be captured by Bubba Wallace and followed with Austin Cindric’s winning performance in the second Duel Qualifier.

Position finished in the respectful Duel’s (1&2) formulates the starting grid for the Daytona 500.

Stage 1 Recap: – 2025 Daytona 500

Daytona International Speedway Annual running of the Daytona 500 will be filed with much Pomp and Circumstance as the President of the United States with ‘Entourage’ leading the Daytona field for a courtesy lap and words of safety of those participating.

Unfortunately, incumbent weather will delay racing on Lap 10, under the wheel of race leader Chase Brisco.

 Jet Blowers take to the track in efforts at hand.  Couple hours in advance, track conditions approved to resume racing.

Edging to the front , Joey Logano caters a Penske Paint Scheme that is undefeated when displayed on a Penske race machine.

Joey Logano will receive a free pass to Stage 1 Checkers under the caution flag as Zane Smith bumps veteran Denny Hamlin into a domino collision.

Stage 2 Recap: – 2025 Daytona 500

Mobile Chess and a Chrome Horn bolts Ryan Preece to lead the pack,  near halfway-mark of Stage 2.  Preece’s residence was challenged by Alex Bowman and Austin Cindric. 

Austin progress to the lead with Checkers in sight and Competitors in rear view. 

Cup Champ Ryan Blaney stays loyal to the outside lane overtaking Cindric’s hold on the lower lane creating a photo finish for checkers. 

Ryan Blaney awarded Stage 2 honors.

Final Stage Recap: – 2025 Daytona 500

Stage 2 winner Ryan Blaney rotates back to lead as aggressive drivers descend to the front to differ with laps dwindling. 

Previous Daytona Winner Ricky Stenhouse Jr.  pronounces his presence blocking for the lead less than 15 scheduled circuits remaining.   Many drivers including Ryan Blaney will be part of a massive car collision in results of Stenhouse Jr.  actions.

Competitive cars who avoided conflicts will be narrowed down to a distinctive few. 

Austin Cindric and Denny Hamlin battle for the lead, as sands diminish in an hourglass.

Ryan Preece accident with 5 laps remaining, justifies Safety Accomplishments achieved.

Laps and patience to be tested in overtime.

Austin Cindric, Denny Hamlin and Cole Custer will be key players in the finale tangling in a final lap Overtime. 

To their dismay, Previous Daytona 500 winner Alex Bowman avoids conflict and motivates his bowtie to the front.
