Mississippi State came into the game with tons of confidence after the very convincing 29-point beat down of the LSU Tigers in the opening  round. Missouri had the first-round bye but came into the SEC Tournament losing 4 of their last 5 outings.

The Tigers came out looking like their midseason form when they were able to knock off the likes of Alabama, Florida, and Kansas. Bates and Perkins had exceptionally good halves and combined they had 20 of the 39 first half points for Missouri. Missouri led Mississippi State 39-34 at the half.

Like all our other games today it got interesting as Miss. State tied it up just 2 minutes into the half and it remained close up until 4 minutes left in the game. The score was 69-69, the Missouri Tigers ended the game on a 16-4 run and were able to move on to the Quarterfinals.

Bates finishes with 25 and Perkins with 20 for the Tigers. Josh Hubbard shows why he was 1st Team All-SEC with a 24-point performance.

Missouri moves on to face the No. 2 Florida Gators on Friday at 7:00 PM in the SEC Tournament Quarterfinals.
