LEXINGTON – January 10, 2026

Despite an 18-6 deficit early in the game, UK soared past Mississippi State 92-68 on Saturday night.

Otega Oweh led all scorers with 22 points, while going 10-of-17 from the floor and 2-of-4 from 3-Point range. He also had five assists, three rebounds, one block, and five steals.

Malachi Moreno had an impressive performance with 17 points off 8-of-10 shooting from the floor to go with eight rebounds, six assists, and four steals in 28 minutes of playing time.

Denzel Aberdeen tallied 16 points and four assists, while going 5-of-9 from the floor and 2-of-3 from 3-PT range. Kam Williams registered 14 points, five rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

UK was 37-of-67 from the floor, 9-of-22 from 3-PT range, and 9-of-14 from the free-throw line.

The Cats are now 10-6 (1-2 SEC) on the season, while Mississippi State is 10-6 (2-1 SEC.) Up next for UK is a matchup at LSU on Wednesday, Jan. 14, at 7:00 p.m. on the SEC Network.
