Auburn ended the regular season on a 2-game losing streak but was still able to maintain their No. 1 ranking within the SEC Conference. Auburn used this as motivation as it was apparent from the tip they wanted to make a statement.

Auburns defense was stifling in the first half, holding Ole Miss to just 22 points and 27% on FG Attempts. Auburn was led by Broome and Jones with 10 and 9. Auburn leads 29-22 at the half.

Ole Miss stayed patient and slowly clawed their way back to a 46-46 tie with 7 mins left in the game. Auburn was able to get back out in front by 10 and hold onto the lead for the rest of the game.

Ole Miss was able to cut the lead to three with 38 seconds remaining. Auburn goes back to their 1st team All-American, Johni Broome looking to seal the game and he delivers a difficult baseline jumper to push the lead back to 5 with 11 seconds remaining.

Auburn was led by Johni Broome with 23 points and 15 rebounds. Ole Miss was led by Dre Davis with 12 points and 6 rebounds. Auburn moves on to play the Tennessee Volunteers in the SEC Semi-Finals tomorrow at 1:00 PM.
