Hazard defeats Wolfe County 9-2 to claim another Regional Title
BOONEVILLE – April 15, 2023
Seems like an annual right of Spring that the Hazard Bulldogs will be in the Championship Game of the 14th Region All-A tournament and take home the title.
This year, the Bulldogs faced the toughest route possible to the Championship by defeating Breathitt County 4-0 on Monday, Leslie County 11-1 on Tuesday, Knott Central 10-0 on Thursday, and after a rain out on Friday, Wolfe County on Saturday afternoon 9-2. The Bulldogs out-scored their opponents 34-3 on the week.
Max Johnson was in control on the mound going seven complete for the win by giving up four hits while striking out 11 and allowing two walks.

Hazard will now face Williamsburg on Sunday in the Semi-State for an opportunity to go back to the All-A State Tournament.
