Seniors Kyle Fraley and Jalen Taulbee provided Breathitt with the firepower to overcome the Cordia Lions on Thursday Night in Jackson. Long range marksman Fraley was hot in the first half as he connected on five of his six three pointers during the 1st and 2nd quarters, and paced the Bobcats on the night with 21 points. Taulbee, fresh off of being named the WYMT Player of the Week, had 18 points with nine coming in the Bobcat’s crucial 4th Quarter run for the victory.

Cordia led throughout the contest, leading at the end of the 1st quarter and the half, and was in front 57-52 at the beginning of the 4th Quarter. Cordia Junior guard Darreyn Pringle slashed and drove and paced the Lions with 19 points during the first three quarters. However, the Lions could not survive the potent Bobcat offense running to 26 points in the 4th Quarter while holding the Lions to 15 for the win.

Breathitt improves to 15-7 on the season and 13-2 against 14th Region opponents. Cordia slips to 5-17 and 2-5.
