The Florida Gators came into the SEC Tournament winning 9 of their last 10 matchups and their average margin of victory in those games was over 14 points. While some teams have limped to the finish line of the regular season the Florida Gators seem to be playing their best basketball of the year.

Missouri was ice cold from the field to start the game, the opposite of Florida which had a 10-0 run to start the game. Missouri fought back behind Tamar Bates but the Tigers just couldn’t keep up with the offensive fire power of the Gators. Florida leads at the half 50-37 behind the 17 points of Walter Clayton Jr., Florida shot 63% from the field and 50% from the three-point line.

The Missouri Tigers made a run to cut the lead to just four points with 16 minutes remaining and were able to match the Gators basket for basket. While the outside shooting of Florida was the story of the first half the size of Condon and Haugh made the difference in the second.

Florida weathers the run by Missouri and pulls away at the end. Gators win 95 – 81 over Missouri. Florida was led by Walter Clayton Jr with 18 points, 3 rebounds, and 6 assists. Missouri was led by Tamar Bates with 16 points, 3 rebounds, and 1 assist.

Florida will move on to take on the winner of the Alabama/Kentucky game at 3:30 PM in the Semi-Final Round of the SEC Tournament.
