HS Football – With the regular season over, Post Season fun is about to start

It seems just like yesterday that the High School Football season started. 11 weeks later, the regular season is over and now the real fun begins as dozens of teams in the State have visions of making a run for a State Title in one of 6 Classes. Several Mountain teams are ready for their moment in the spotlight. Some teams are coming in red hot and some favorites are struggling at the wrong time.

Here is a recap of week 11 action:
Hazard (7-2) traveled to Whitley for a 24-20 win
Corbin (9-1) defeated Knox Central 36-21
Floyd Central (7-3) won in a shootout at Letcher (0-10) 68-55
Harlan went to Bell (6-4) for a 22-6 win
Paintsville (9-1) went to Fleming and won 38-6
Perry Central got back on winning track after 3 straight losses with a 28-18 win over Prestonsburg (6-4)
Pikeville (5-4) defeated Tolsia WV 54-12
Powell (6-4) went to East Cater and won 61-28
Sheldon Clark won a slugfest against Morgan County (4-6) 64-50
Williamsburg (7-3) traveled to Middlesboro (2-8) for a 42-21
East Ridge traveled to KCC (5-5) and squeezed out a 46-42 win
Lexington Christian destroyed Estill County 75-28.
Breathitt (4-6), Leslie (4-6) & Magoffin (2-8) did not play.

In the BSN Game of the week, Belfry overcame an early 19-0 lead against Johnson Central to roll to a 35-19 victory for their 9th win in a row. For complete game coverage CLICK HERE.
