LEXINGTON – November 8, 2025 – Bradley Charles

What a night it was at Kroger Field for BBN. The Cats dominated the Florida Gators 38-7. UK finished the game on a 35-0 run.

It was just a few years ago that UK faced a 31-year losing streak to Florida. Mark Stoops has now defeated Florida five times with the Cats; and tonight’s performance was a complete domination of a performance.

UK has won four of the past five against the Gators; with all of those wins occurring by at least seven points. For all of the recent struggles, it is a testament to how far the program has come under Stoops.

There are so many elements to this win. The offense played well. QB Cutter Boley continued to look impressive. The defense played a tremendous game. Florida’s only touchdown of the contest occurred on a drive that began at UK’s 13-yard line.

Kentucky allowed 247 total yards. Starting Florida QB DJ Lagway was 11-of-19 through the air for 83 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions. Lagway did not finish the game.

UK freshman quarterback Cutter Boley went 18-of-23 for 168 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. Dante Dowdell tallied seven carries for 104 yards and one rushing touchdown. His 104 rushing yards led all players.

Running back Seth McGowan registered 22 carries for 92 yards and two rushing touchdowns. Kendrick Law tallied six catches for 44 yards, which led all players in each category.

The Cats are now 4-5 (2-5 SEC) this season, while Florida is 3-6 (2-4 SEC.) Up next for Kentucky is a home game against Tennessee Tech on Saturday, Nov. 15, at 1:30 p.m. It marks the Cats’ final home game of the season.
