No. 25 Kentucky fell short 92-83 at No. 14 Florida on Saturday. UK had another slow start as Kentucky trailed by as many as 15 points in the first half.

Former Gator Denzel Aberdeen led UK in scoring, assists, and plus/minus in his return to Gainesville.

He had 19 points on 8-of-21 shooting from the floor, four assists, and a plus/minus of five.

Malachi Moreno tallied 11 points and 11 rebounds in just 21 minutes of playing time due to foul trouble.

He is the first UK freshman with a double-double in a true road game vs. an AP top-15 opponent since Julius Randle at No. 1 Florida on March 8, 2014. It’s Moreno’s first double-double against an SEC opponent.

Collin Chandler registered a career-best five triples en route to scoring 18 points. Kentucky made 45% of its 3-pointers on Saturday as it went 9-of-20.

Prior to Saturday’s matchup, UK was 8-0 in games where the Wildcats made at least 40% from long range this season.

Otega Oweh scored 13 points, while going 4-of-14 from the floor.

The CATS are now 17-8 (8-4 SEC) on the season, while Florida is 19-6 (10-2 SEC.)

Up next for UK is a home game against Georgia on Tuesday, Feb. 17, at 9:00 p.m.
