Keith Taylor – Guest Columnist
Keith Taylor, who covers University of Kentucky sports for KyForward, grew up in Richmond, Kentucky and is an award-winning sports editor-writer with a distinguished career in the newspaper industry, winning numerous first-place Kentucky Press Association awards throughout his 24-year career. His awards have included Best Sports Column, Best Sports Story Best Sports Page, Best Sports Photo and Best Sports Feature. He received a first-place award in 2012 for his column on Kentucky’s national championship run in 2012. He also has been a finalist for Kentucky Sports Writer of the Year three times and has covered University of Kentucky athletics for more than two decades. He served as design editor and sports editor for the Winchester Sun and spent 12 years guiding the sports department, covering the local and regional sports scene. Prior to joining the Winchester Sun, he was sports editor of the Richmond Register, his hometown newspaper for six years, winning numerous KPA awards and cooperate awards for his writing. Keith’s wife Rhonda, is an elementary school teacher at Kingston Elementary School in Madison County.
