Signees Erin Toller and Nyah Leveretter named all-state performers

Add one more honor to the incredible list of accomplishments this season for University of Kentucky women’s basketball signee Treasure Hunt as the five-star guard has been tabbed the MaxPreps Tennessee Player of the Year while fellow signees Erin Toller and Nyah Leveretter were tabbed all-state performers, it was announced recently.
The player of the year honor for Hunt is just one of many accolades this season, including 2020 Women’s Basketball Coaches Association High School Coaches’ All-America honorable mention and 2020 Jersey Mike’s Naismith National High School All-America third team. Hunt was also tabbed to the home roster for the 2020 Jordan Brand Classic and was named to the 2020 McDonald’s All-American Game roster becoming the 11th UK signee to be selected to play in the prestigious game in Matthew Mitchell’s tenure. Earlier this year, Hunt was named one of 10 semifinalists for the 2020 Naismith High School Girls Trophy.
Toller was named a first-team all-state performer this year by the Lexington Herald-Leader after a strong senior season leading Sacred Heart to a 32-3 record and an appearance in the KHSAA Sweet 16. Toller led the team with 16.4 points per game adding 5.7 rebounds per game. The guard hit 40 percent from the field this season and an impressive 38.5 percent from long range hitting a team-best 84 3-pointers. Toller scored over 1,000 career points for Sacred Heart, including nearly 600 this season.
Leveretter was named an all-state performer by the South Carolina Basketball Coaches Association after completing a decorated high school career at Westwood High School. The forward had her best season this year, averaging 13.3 points per game and 11.0 rebounds per game while earning 1.1 blocks per game. Leveretter, who scored over 1,000 career points, hit 44 percent from the field as a senior and had a career field-goal percentage of 45 percent.
Hunt, Leveretter and Toller signed National Letters of Intent to play at Kentucky back in November and make up a top-20 recruiting class in the nation according to ESPN.com. Leveretter and Toller were both honored as nominees for the McDonald’s All-American Game.
Hunt is ranked as a top-10 player in the 2020 class by the All-Star Girls Report, while ProspectsNation.com tabs her as their 15th best player in the class. A five-star guard according to ESPN.com, Hunt was a gold medalist from the USA Basketball U18 3×3 Tournament, defeating some of the best players in the nation under the age of 18 in the event. The Chattanooga, Tennessee, native had an incredible senior season at Hamilton Heights Christian Academy, where she is coached by her mother, Keisha. The guard helped Hamilton Heights to a 25-1 record and No. 2 final ranking nationally by MaxPreps. During her career, Hunt has scored over 2,000 points and helped her team win over 100 games. This season, she averaged 24.7 points per game with 5.3 rebounds per game, 2.3 assists per game, 1.6 steals per game and 1.2 blocks per game. As a junior, she averaged 19.4 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 2.3 steals per game.
