The NASCAR Cup Series rolled into the Las Vegas vicinity for the annual running of the Pennzoil 400 presented by Jiffy Lube and hosted by Las Vegas Motor Speedway

Located less than 20 miles from Famous Las Vegas Strip, the 1.5-mile Tri-Oval Speedway held their first NASCAR Cup event on March 1, 1998.

Joey Logano and Kyle Larson commanded the front row anticipating 267 scheduled Laps (400 Miles) of exhilaration as drivers clash for a cherished playoff ticket.

Kyle Larson won the battle in turn three to pace the field as the green flag waved.

Previous event winner William Byron rocketed through the field as Chase Brisco relinquished the lead.  William Byron directed the field until an unexpected Chris Buescher’ wheel issue slowed down the field.  Many front runners opted for service under Buescher’s caution.  Declining pit attention included Atlanta’s winner Suarez.  Daniel was recycled to the post only to be contested by Chevy Comrade Kyle Bush on Lap 44.

Within 15 laps Kyle Larson maneuvered around Kyle Bush for the lead and took Stage 1 “Jackpot of Points”” at Vegas.
